Locate the interior hood release lever. It is located below the instrument panel on the rear edge of the hood, near the windshield to release the hood latch. 3. Then, just pull the hood down on properly. Hood Release To open the hood. Go to the side of the vehicle and pull up on the driver's side of the lever to open the hood, do the following: 1. Before closing the hood, be sure all the filler caps are on the rear edge of the vehicle. 2. Pull down and close it firmly. 5-11
