TRANSMISSION problems

My 2001 GMC JIMMY 4.3 Vortex all of a sudden one morning I drive to the store it was fine got gas started it up all dash lights went out and I didn't have second or overdrive even tried manually shifting it jumps from first to third changed the ignition switch and TRANSMISSION filter and fluid still nothing can anybody help me PLEASE

Luv My Jimmy

Bought this vehicle used, had 114,000 miles on it. I have owned GMC's in the past and always seemed that the interior wore out before the engine, not so with the one I have now, everything is very solid..gas mileage is acceptable for the size and age of the car everything runs smooth. Only complaint is the ignition stuck and it took several hours of research to find the fix, (the dealer didn't know) but a young lady online had the solution. It's a comfortable ride and the blind spots are minimal. All in all we love our Jimmy.
