You can keep the valet key with your thumb and then pull the key out of the Fob with you when valet parking. The valet key is also for entry into the lock cylinders with either side up. THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE STARTING YOUR VEHICLE 13 The valet key allows for locking the glove box. To remove the valet key from the Fob, slide the mechanical latch at the top of the Fob sideways with your other hand. 2 Valet Key Removal NOTE: You can insert the double-sided valet key into the vehicle should the battery in the vehicle or the Fob go dead.
