Car is smooth but has some tedious common problems

I bought one of these for 950.00 it wad a dteal car runs and drives great very strong when needed good power only thing i dont like is the very tedious problems like brake lights are wired with turn signals? Like what kind of idea was that not a very smart one my brake lights dont work and i had to replace my turn signal switch. Also how do you get to the brake light in the back window? I have teplaced other ones but without complete destruction of the back interior this task seams to be impossible maybe if i had an owners manual it would be much easier but i dont but overall great car very roomy good on gas parts are relativly cheap brand new at napa so i do work myself so overall an easy fix but also its metric? A GM WITH METRIC BOLTS? AND NUTS? Dont get me wrong im not a mechanic but i use standard sizes not metric i had to go buy meric tools for this car. Still a very good car.
