I have an LG bottom freezer with Err FF, which means freezer fan failure (Evaporator fan motor assembly *might* need replacing).  What is happening is that ice has been building up behind the back freezer wall and is preventing the freezer fan from spinning to help cool the fridgerator portion.  Hence, freezer is still working, but fridge is not cooling.  If you aren't too handy, unplug and empty the freezer, then leave the freezer door open for a day to let this ice buildup melt...  I am not sure where the water drains to though, so put towels at the bottom of the freezer and on your kitchen floor.  If you ARE mechanically inclined, unplug and empty the freezer.  Pull out the slide out door, remove ice maker, center top freezer shelf basket and divider and two support bars.  Unscrew the philips by the ice maker in the back of the inside freezer wall (top left), as well as the philips screw at the inside, back center of the freezer wall (both white screws).  Pop off the rectangluar, ice maker back panel door.  Now you should be able to grip the back freezer wall and pull/bend it out of its snap places to get it out of the freezer and expose the frozen ice, freeer fan, radiator looking thing (be careful not to bend or cut yourself on the cooling fins).  You can use a hair dryer to help melt the ice at a faster rate.  Once the ice is melted, you can plug in the refrigerator to see if that freezer fan is spinning when you hold down the freezer door trigger.  If that fan is not spinning, the fridge will still show Er FF.  (Time to replace the freezer fan (evaporator motor assembly.)  If it is spinning, then you know it was the ice build up which prevented the freezer fan from spinning.  You can reassemble the freezer until you see the Er FF code again.  Good luck.
