Source Connection.

Im trying to connect a emachines el1331g-01w to a monitor. And getting " check source connection.

Generally when you get that message it's because the monitor does not see any input source. This could be because the cable is not connected to both the computer and the monitor, or the cable could be bad, or the port on the computer or monitor could be bad. If you have another cable type you could try (ie. VGA, DVI, USB, etc.) try that and see if the monitor sees the input source then. Once you can get another connection method working, you can start to troubleshoot to see what the problem is.

If you have another computer nearby, you could also try to connect the monitor to that computer and see if you get the same message.
