Dvd Optical Drive
When The Power Comes On The Dvd Door Opens And Does Not Shut. I Try To Put A Cd In And Again The Door Opens And A Message Comes Up Saying To Insert A Blank Cd. The Other Day I Accidently Put A Scratched Cd In The Opening And It Blew It Out In Peices And Has Not Been Working Ever Since. The Door Just Opens And Will Not Close. Do We Need To Replace The Dvd Optical Drive? If So-is There Any Particular One You Could Recommend. Please Help Me If You Can, Thank You, El

Yes, it does sound like you'll need to replace the drive. You can find a replacement on eBay.
