Lost Words With Friends App After Latest Update On My Iphone 5

I took the latest update for Words with Friends and after it updated, the app completely dissapeared from my phone.  I tried reconnecting to iTunes.  The app was there, but still would not display on my phone. If I go to the app store, the only option for the app is Open (which it will not), so I can not attempt to re-install and since it is not present, I cannot un-install. How can I get my app back?
