Why Is It Impossible To Get Individual Help From Zynga Support?

Ever since the recent patch, Farmville 2 has not been crediting me with crafts done for a certain purpose (expansions). I have more than enough of the item in my inventory but it subtracts 20 from the total needed to unlock the new area. I do not see anyone else having this problem, so the forums, and the usual means of solving problems do not seem to apply. We used to be able to Chat or get an individual email...I assume that you no longer have enough staff to provide this. It is hard to understand that such a popular game has such in inefficient support system. Is there a live person anywhere out there?
