How Do I Turn Off Mute On Receiver Without Remote Control?

My Yamaha receiver is stuck in mute, remote control does not work and I can't get sound back on?

Go here for the manual which shows no evidence that the receiver has a mute button. Can't find anyone with a used or replacement remote, (yamaha ID # VS71360.
