Metronome Turn Off?

is it possible to switch off the metronome?. I want to loop from the beginning of my song to, say, beat 4; I haven´t been able to do this, since I have to press both the start and the AB buttons at the same time. On the other hand, if I loop a section from beat one, when the loop starts again, I get the undesired metronome
