If your Yamaha PSR-220 keyboard turns on and plays but the buttons don't work, there may be a few things you can try to resolve the issue:
  1. Check the power source: Make sure the keyboard is properly plugged in or that the batteries have enough power.
  2. Clean the buttons: If the buttons are dirty or have debris stuck in them, they may not work properly. Use a clean, dry cloth to gently wipe the buttons and remove any dirt or debris.
  3. Reset the keyboard: Try resetting the keyboard to its default settings. Refer to the user manual for instructions on how to do this.
  4. Check the connections: Make sure all the cables and connections are secure and properly plugged in.
  5. Contact Yamaha support: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it may be a hardware problem. Contact Yamaha customer support for further assistance or to arrange for a repair.

If your Yamaha PSR-220 turns on and plays but the buttons are not working, there are a few things you can try:
  1. Check the power supply: Make sure the power supply is connected properly and the AC outlet you're using is working. If the keyboard is not receiving enough power, the buttons may not work properly.
  2. Perform a factory reset: Sometimes, a factory reset can fix issues with the keyboard. Refer to the owner's manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.
  3. Check the ribbon cable: The ribbon cable that connects the button board to the main circuit board may be loose or disconnected. Check to see if the ribbon cable is properly connected and not damaged.
  4. Check the button board: The button board may be malfunctioning. Inspect the button board for any signs of damage or corrosion. You may need to replace the button board if it is damaged.
  5. Contact Yamaha customer support: If none of the above solutions work, there may be a hardware issue with the keyboard and you should contact Yamaha customer support for further assistance.
