How Do I Unlock My Yahoo Mail Account

Your account has been locked for security reasons, this means that there have been too many attempts to sign in
to ur account with the incorrect password. As a security measure, ur account has been locked to prevent unauthorized users from being able to access it.

If u haven't been trying to sign in to ur account with the wrong password, this is not necessarily cause for concern. sorry,this account has been locked due to several attempts of signing which might be as a result of incorrect password usage. so you have to wait for 12hours before tring to sign in ang if you have forgotten your password,you can requset from yahoo how to get your password or you can request for a new one by confirming ur account information.

go to yahoo security center to unblock ur account

once you recived a new password you will be able to accessed your mail.

you could follow this step to unlock your yahho account; check for email from yahoo member services and click the unlock link in the email you will be allowed to sign in again.

Here is a link on Yahoo's web site that may be heplful in unlocking your Yahoo account. Basically it sounds like your account was locked for security reasons and that you need to wait 24 hours before trying again:
