Most Of My Emails In Yahoo Mail Were Gone In My Inbox.

Most of my emails in yahoo mail were gone in my inbox. Some of them were in my trash bin and I restored them. But not all were in my trash bin. The more recent ones were missing. I have read that certain email programs like outlook may delete messages but I don't know how. But when I opened my laptop earlier today I saw outlook opened. Dont't know how it got there. Maybe my sister pressed some buttons. But now I'm asking if my recent email messages can still be retreived and how. They are quite important to me. I'm using Windows Vista by the way.

You can retrieve deleted messages from your Trash folder, as long as the trash hasn’t been deleted yet. To retrieve a deleted message, select the Trash folder in the folders pane, select the message or messages you want to retrieve, and drag them to your Inbox or another folder.

Otherwise, Yahoo has a form you can submit to restore lost messages. However, it says it will not restore messages outside a 24-hour window. If you use Yahoo! Mail Classic, submit this form. If you use the newer Yahoo! Mail, submit this form.

You'll find more details on this Yahoo page.
