All Of My Emails In Yahoo Mail Were Gone In My Inbox.

Most of my emails in yahoo mail were gone in my inbox. Some of them were in my trash bin and I restored them. But not all were in my trash bin. The more recent ones were missing. I have read that certain email programs like outlook may delete messages but I don't know how. But when I opened my laptop earlier today I saw outlook opened. Dont't know how it got there. Maybe my sister pressed some buttons. But now I'm asking if my recent email messages can still be retreived and how. They are quite important to me.
