GO TO www.siriusxm.com/frequency put in the zip code of where ur currently at. it will give u the list of the frequencies that u can use in that area..

setting the fm station on ur xm radio varies from one radio to another,, but usually just press menu and try to look for fm settings/fm modulator/ fm frequency..

for onyx radios: make sure that aux detect is disabled.. to check that, go to menu: factory settings: aux detect (if its enabled just press the center button to disable it: to exit just press and hold the menu button).. once its disabled press menu go to fm settings: fm modulator should be on ( if its off just press the center button), go down to fm channels, it should give u fm1 to fm5. fm 1 has 97.9 (thats the default channel), if the website (www.siriusxm.com/frequency) gives u a diff frequency just highlight fm 2/3/4/5 press the center button, use the left and right arrow keys to set it to that freq and once ur done press the center button: it will give u the message "start using....?" press the center button again.. set that same freq on ur car stereo and this should resolve the problem
