Ie 6

I have an old windows XP home edition with internet browser 6. Everywhere I go to try and download a different browser live firefox, chrome, mozilla etc. It just keeps telling me I need need sp2 updates but when I try to get them it also says unable to download sp2 updates. Any suggestions how to get a different browser to download when IE 6 doesn't work half the time? No MOST of the time.

I wish I could've given you a workaround but considering Windows XP not secure my straightforward suggestion would be to buy a Windows 7 system
