Freezer Drawer Won't Shut Tightly

My freezer drawer won't shut tightly, so some outside air is leaking in and causing some ice to form along the door seal and the edges of the interiror baskets. We can push it shut the extra 1/4" it needs to close tightly, but it then opens back up a bit after pressure is released. Is there supposed to be some type of positive latching for this drawer that wasn't installed? The refrigerator is just over a month old.
