Fridge Working, Freezer Not

I have been researching and messing with things with the fridge all day. The water dispenser works and the fridge works. The freezer is not freezing and the ice maker is not working because the freezer is too warm. I have turned the ice maker off. And am now trying to figure out how to fix the freezer. We bought this fridge in April of last year, so unfortunately the warranty is no longer in effect. I think I need to pull the fridge out again and find the fan and cooling coils? to make sure they're clean and free of dirt or ice buildup? I don't know where any of these things are, any advice? I also read that a power outage could fry something in the fridge? We've had a couple power outages recently due to installation of new wires or something up the road. Any other advice before I call someone and spend too much money :( Thanks!
