Whirlpool Wfw9150ww Error Code F9e1 - Long Drain
I'm getting the F9E1 error code. I've cleaned out the drain to make sure no debris is blocking it and cleared out the error code from diagnostic mode, but I continue to get the same error when the machine attempts to drain. No drain happens and I can feel the drain pump motor warming up, but nothing happens. I don't want to spend $100 on a new drain pump if that is not the culprit. Any other ideas as to what I can do for a fix?

You may have a bad pump or a bad CCU. Unplug the washer and remove the bottom access panel on the lower front. If you have a multimeter, you can check the pump terminals for proper resistance. Remove the power plug from the pump, it is on the right. You need to pop the cover up. Set your meter to the lowest setting for resistance. Touch the ohmmeter test leads to the
drain pump terminals. The meter should indicate approximately 12.3 Ω. If it reads infinity, Bad pump. But it could check out and still be bad. Remove the filter. Make sure you empty the tub first. And have a few towels ready. Reach inside the hole to the right' about an inch in, and try to turn the impleller. It should turn abit and the jump to the next position. It should do thst evevenly for more than 360 degree turn. If it feels funny or sloppy, bad pump.
