Where To Add Fabric Softener

I just bought a house with a 1994 0r 95 Whirlpool washer SM8525147..IT IS COMMERcial quality,extra large capacity, 7 cycles, 2 speed combinations with porcelain basket...Where do I put in the fabric softener? There doesn't seem to be a designated place and the directions on the top lid do not address this issue...Thanks
