How Do I Open The Stovetop On My Roper?

Everytime I try to bake I get the rank order of MICE!  We looked everywhere else so we believe the little freaks made a nest between the stovetop and oven which on NORMAL appliances meant that I could just lift up the lid of the stove top and clean it out.... no such luck.. How the heck can I get this thing open so I can start using my oven again!!!! HELP!!!
