Dryer Door Switch

Am unable to get proper dryer door switch which is broker.  Broken one is:  PN 3406108.  New part I have is:  PN 3406107.  Latter has three leads; former two.  Thought I could just splice the new switch into the broker switch's harness which is still good.  If I just splice the two wires on the broken switch with the apparent same wires on he new part and just cap the third wire (that is on the far end of the new switch, am I good?
