Problems With Newer Wpgmh6185xvq-1 Microwave Oven

I purchased a WP OTR Microwave Convention Oven #GH6185XVQ-1 about 1.5 years ago.  All functions are still working except the microwave does not heat (fan & controls still run though).  I am extremely disappointed that this appliance has failed just outside of the 1 year warranty.  I thought I was buying a quality product choosing Whirlpool.  Is this just a fluke or lemon?  What could be the problem in this short of a time?  Is it a component that could be fixed under warranty?  Please help!  The serial number is TRY4610655.   Thank you. Mary Lou LaFonte
