Whirlpool Gold Dishwasher Model Gu1500 Soap Dish.

i received a replacement soap dispenser from the dealer and took the door apart to replace it. Part #8558129  Rev P was confirmed to be the correct part for my dishwasher. The old part has a small card like piece that attached to a wire that is on the opposite side from the plug but the new one does not. The dealer couldn't explain why one had it and one didn't and suggested sending a service rep out. He pulled out the card from the old piece but it doesn't fit well anywhere.  Where do I go from here??
