Westinghouse 32' Hd Lcd Flat Screen Tv- Has Sound & Black Screen?
My TV is about three years old. Sound is normal and I can hear it change channels. The screen is totally black - no picture at all. What are the possible causes for no picture? Need to decide if it is better to fix it or buy a new one.

Hello Peicavt1, Crazyredhead87 almost had the correct solution but she is wrong. Normally when you have this issue where you have audio but no picture it is caused by the inverter board. Now depending on the model # it could be the inverter board itself or the LIPS board which is a board that has the inverter and the power board made into one. If you wanna get down to the component level the problem is most likely a transformer that sits on the inverter board. If you open the unit it will normally be on the left hand side (with the TV screen facing down) and you will see at least one of the transformers with a leak or a burned mark.
