Wdbacw0020hbk Not Working

Hello, my WD My Book Essential (WDBACKW0020HBK) is not working correctly with my computer. It was working fine last night when it decided to crash all of a sudden, and I haven't been able to get it to work since. It makes a ding sound everytime it's plugged into my laptop, but doesn't show any sign of being on my computer. (Computer-Manage-Disk Management) I've tried plugging it into another laptop, which it reads and tries to install drivers on, and I've also tried uninstalling the drivers, which since then has not been able to even recognize the device and has stopped making a ding sound when plugged into my computer. Help would be greatly appreciated!
