V Reader Won't Play Other Cartridges

If the cartridge doesn't work or isn't recognized, turn the V.Reader off and remove the cartridge. Check for any dirt or debris in the V.Reader cartridge slot, and clean the contacts where the cartridge and V.Reader connect. (You can find instructions for cleaning the contacts on page 15 of the user guide.)

Reinsert the cartridge and power the V.Reader on. If the cartridge still won't work, but other cartridges work fine, it's likely a problem with that cartridge itself. You can reach VTech customer support at 1-800-521-2010 -- maybe they can replace the cartridge if it's under warranty.
