Vtech Catch-me-kitty

My granddaughter was playing with the Kitty. I looked down and she had something in her mouth. Had to pry out of mouth. Kitty's swivel, which allows Kitty to turn, broke in half. Granddaughter had the half that allowed turning in mouth. The half attached to Kitty was still attached. If I had not been there!!! Vtech has great toys. Is this a problem with this toy, or should I be concerned about others.
