My Vonage Goes Out Each Time It Rains. My Phone Thinks An Extention Phone Is In

My Vonage goes out each time it rains. My phone thinks an extention phone is in use. After a few days of warm dry weather the phone begins to work again. It has been raining on and off for two weeks now and I haven't had phone service for two weeks. This problem developed about a year ago. I'm sick of it! Please tell me what causes it to go out when it rains & how I can fix it. My computer still accesses the internet fine. Help Please!!! Thank you for taking time for this! My cell won't work at my house. It is a scary situation for me.
