Where Do I Add The Fluid To Keep The Rear Door Up, It No Longer Stays Open

Someone said I could easily add "hydrolic fluid" so that my rear hatch would stay open. It will not stay up once opened, has hit me more than once. Not sure where this fluid is added nor which fluid I need. New at this. Thanks.
