Why Does My Vivitar Vivicam F124 Turn Off Whenever I Hit The Mode Button.

Every time I hit the MODE button, the camera shuts off. I do not get the goodbuy screen as you do when you power off with the power button, but the screen goes black and you have to hit the power button to power the camera back on.

It sounds like a hardware defect unfortunately. If it's still under warranty, I would contact Vivitar. Here's the customer service number: 1-800-592-9541.
