How Do I Unlock The Virgin Mobile Motorola Android Phone

I bought my virgin Mobile phone from my brother and his son had put a pattern lock on the phone. He attempted to take it off and couldn't remember the lock pattern and he tried too many times and the phone locked up. It said to enter his Google email & password, we did that and that did not work. Please help
