Ticket Number And Texting

i paid for unlimited texting and web, and 1200 minutes...however the same day i activated my phone, i could recieve text messages. after a couple hours of texting and what not, all of a sudden i was not able to recieve texting, and still can;t. what do i do? and why did the customer service lady give me my trouble ticket number ?
