Refund Ticket From United Airline

I had a United Airline ticket that I purchase in Jan of 2012, But I had to cancel a month ago due to my Coronary Artery Disease that I have. I was suppose to go to the Phillipines in Aug of this year but I could not due to my chest pains. I Faxed over Medical documents from Jefferson University Hospital and my flight confirmation as required to get my refund refunded back into my paypal account. I called several times and they said it was sent on June 2nd 2012 and it never was. I have no record of this. I tried calling them at this number they gave me which is 713-324-1431 which is a fax No. I also faxed them to please confirm to me that the payment was sent to me and when. I never got a response from United Refund Dept.Please help I tried everything that I know but there just blowing me off. Now when I call them at 1-800-we care2 they have a recording on so they don't have to deal with me.
