Blowing Fuses

I have a 3 yr old pc76 elite. bought it brand new used it for 3 months. we bought a new car and the first time it was installed, it started blowing fuses. no work has ever been done on the unit and I'd like to keep/get it running again. it hasn't smoked or done anything else. and I've used a cigarette lighter adapter for ease of use and security reasons (theft protection)

Check power supply polarity, make sure positive is postive. A lot of radios are wired with reverse polarity.
