Uniden Gmr645-2ck

This set of 2 radios doesnt work, tried charging them with original ni-MH bp38 battery packs in cradle. Red light is on when charging but after 2 days still doesn't turn on? Tried using AAA batteries as well and still doesn't work. This set was never used or abused. Is there a reset or is this worth fixing ?
