How Can I Charge The Battery In My Uniden Voyager Vhf Handheld Transceiver?
I don't have the original charger. Can I use another kind of charger? What is the purpose of the 3rd post on the battery?

Due to the fact that the radio won't fit into any other charger you'll need to get the OEM charger.
I'm not familiar with this particular battery so I cannot comment on it. They appear to be 4.8 volt, 600 or 700 mAh, nickel-metal-hydride so they should not have an issue with charge memory.
The radios have been dioscontinued. No retailers (that I could find) carry the chargers. I recommend watching eBay. Try contacting AES to see if they have a source for the chargers. http://www.aesham.com/index.html
