How To Change My Bank Account In Turbo Tax

Once your return has been filed and accepted you cannot change your bank account information. Once your bank rejects the deposit the IRS will automatically switch your refund method from direct deposit to sending you a paper check. But If the IRS and/or state has not released your refund, please log onto your personal account online and click on the Online Account Change Request link located on the left hand side of your account status page. You will be automatically redirected though our system so that you can update the information on our file. You will be authenticated before allowing the information to be updated. You may also choose to process the change manually. Log onto your personal account online and click on the Manual Address/Account Change Form link. Fax the completed form along with a photo copy of your I.D., your social security card and a voided check or direct deposit slip with your name pre-populated on it. If the IRS and/or state has already released your refund and your deposit was sent to the incorrect account, please contact the financial institution that is receiving the refund and notify them. Financial institutions often recover the funds and return them to TPG, the refund will be reissued as a check, mailed to your address on your federal tax return and a re-processing fee may be charged. Please allow 24-72 hours for your account information to be updated after all documents are received.
