Policies Regarding Service For Air Conditioning.
My Toyota Sienna was presented for service 8/5/2010 with air conditioning as the primary concern. I was told I could have it fixed by re-charging the system for $169 plus tax and labor. The process was described to me but no mention was made of what might happen if the re-charging process did not work. One day later, the system failed and destroyed the compressor. I am out $200 and have no air conditioning. This is not the first time we have been disappointed by Toyota service, and we have owned Toyotas for 17 years and have only had them serviced at Toyota dealers.
