2006 Toyota Highlander Hybred - Overheated Once

My highlander hybred overhead with steam coming from the right front of the car.  The overflow tank  was 1/3 of a gallon low and the level of the coolant in the car was fine.  I refilled the overflow, let the car sit for 1 hour and then drove it 150 miles and the temperature gage was normal.  The car is not leaking fluid.  What could the problem be?
