How Do I Replace A Shift Linkage On A 2001 Toyota Corolla

i have the shift linkage disconnected from the engine side but i cannot figure out how to take it out on the center console, i think i need to take out the center console but i do not know how, can someone tell me what i can do to get it out. i have a simple way to fix it but i need to get it out first,
