What does the ECT button do?  It's located by my gear shift.

ECT (Electronically Controlled Transmission) is a function on your car that changes the normal shift times to a later point. Simply put it the engine rpms will go higher before shifting to a higher gear. This is great for accelreation, but bad for gas mileage.
