Hi!  Thanks For Your Help!  Do You Think A Novice Like Me Would Be

able to replace this hard drive? Also, since I can't get this system to boot because of the bad HD, how do I restore the OS...isn't it on the bad drive? Thanks again..I'm very grateful for your help.

Greetings. Yes you can be able to replace the bad HDD your self with the help of YouTube videos. And yes the OS is stuck in the bad HDD - meaning you will have to load a new Operating System from a Windows Disc(s). Normally new laptop owner's are encouraged to create backup disc(s) agains times like this. You can

1. Borrow a copy of a similar Windows OS version from a friend.

2. Purchase and Windows OS disc.

3. Order Recovery Disc(s) from you Toshiba (it is free during warranty period.)
