Copying Tv Programs From Vhs To Dvd.

I recorded lots of TV programs in the 90s onto VHS tapes. Recently I started copying those programs onto DVDs. Most work perfectly on my Toshiba DVR620 but sometimes I will get one of the following:Cannot copy in +VR mode Error E27 or Error E45Cannot copy in VR ModeWhen I get these messages I try again with a -VR DVD and then it just says "Cannot copy in VR Mode".I know there's something called "Copy once" but does that also apply to copying VHS tapes that were recorded from TV?
