A Few Different Channels Do Not Work

Hello, Some of my cable channels do not work. It is various channnels and the channels I do not get change every day. Some days it is ESPN, TBS, FSN, VH1, but every day there is at least one channel that I do not get. I cannot find a pattern to which channels do not work on certain days. The only difference is my cable box. If I go to another room and try the same channel it will work in the room without the cable box. Do I need another cable box or is there a test or a reset that can be performed to make sure it is the cable box? Thanks, Brad Woolard
