This device is what is called an "unmanaged switch". This means it is an Ethernet switch. It has no routing abilities. It has no settings that can be adjusted. It's basically the modern day equivalent to a network hub, just with more smarts.
Your DSL modem will connect you to the Internet, you can use this switch to increase the number of devices you can connect.
The only concern will be whether your DSL modem is providing TCP/IP addresses for your devices or if it will only provide a single address. You'll know as soon as you connect a second device. It will either work or you will have no connection.
If it doesn't work you'll have to determine the addressing scheme and manually assign addresses to your PC's. Or you can get a DSL modem that provided DHCP services.
My guess is that it should work.
