Norton Account Password Associated With Email And/or Ip Address?
Just loaded Internet Security 2010 3 PC's on daughter's computer before loading it on mine where I have current account. The email address she loaded when it asked, was mine: [email protected] My Norton account password (associated with rooster email address) did not work on her computer; but worked on mine. We changed password by requesting new password be sent to email address ( on my computer). We then entered the Norton assigned temporary password onto her computer and it worked. Is this because Norton did not recognize her IP as being associated with the rooster157 email address AND the IP Norton associates it with?

Goto www.majorgeeks.com and download the symantec/norton removal tool. That will clear it out and allow replacement.I would suggest a good free program like AVG antivirus. I own a computer store and Norton is installed on almost every infected computer that comes in. Goto www.free.avg.com and Dwnload and install it. On as many computers as you would like. They have a pay version if you want more bells and whistles. But the free one has protected all the computers at my store for over two years.
