I Just Installed Norton Anti-virus 2011

I did not however unistall the Norton Anti-Virus 2010 prior to installing the 2011. I have 11 days left on the 2010, but being as I had that time, it now shows on the 2011 program that I have only 11 days....Do I need to uninstall the 2010 first and then reinstall the 2011 for the full coverage I already paid for....
