Vehicle Will Not Start As If It Is Locked In Gear But It Show It Is In Park.

My 2007 Suzuki xl7 will not start. The gear say it is in park but act as it is in gear and the key will not come out , this drain the battery. When you go to start it and turn the key nothing happens.
